PETER Andre has revealed a “scary” parenting milestone for him, as fans spotted that his daughter Amelia, 11, was “missing” from a recent family holiday.
Dad-of-five Peter, 52, has revealed him and wife Emily, 36, have come across a “first” with their eldest child.
The singer, 52, is doting dad to Junior, 20, Princes, 18 from his marriage to Katie Price and he shares Amelia, 11, Theo, eight, and Arabella, one with Emily.
The blended family recently enjoyed family holiday in Cyprus, but fans were quick to notice that Amelia was “missing” from the photos shared on Instagram.
But speaking to The Mirror, Peter revealed why she wasn’t on the trip, and how this brought a “parenting first” for him.
He revealed: “Some people noticed that our daughter Amelia wasn’t there on this trip and that’s because she was doing something incredible. She was on a pilgrimage with Emily’s mum – so with her grandma – and they did the Pyrenees, which was absolutely amazing. She walked about 80 km in four days, she said it was the most incredible experience
“So it’s the first time she hasn’t come away with us but she was with her grandma doing a pilgrimage which I thought was wonderful so go on Mills – what a wonderful experience that she had!”
Continuing, Peter said: “It was very scary for us, you know, it’s very scary as a parent – obviously we knew that she’s with Emily’s mum, who is a paediatrician, she’s a doctor so having a doctor on hand is always great, but it is always scary and because she wasn’t with us for the first… it was just really, really, really, scary, but it was wonderful to know that she was achieving so much, we’re very proud.”
Meanwhile, just a few weeks ago, Peter hit back at “nepo baby” accusations after Princess landed two more seasons of her ITV show.
The star insisted children of famous people also have to graft for their own spotlight, following news his daughter Princess secured two more seasons of her reality show, The Princess Diaries.
He was referencing nepotism claims surrounding Apple Martin’s GAP campaign with mum Gwyneth Paltrow, when he made his thoughts clear on the issue – as Princess faces the same accusations from critics.
Peter wrote: “Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s daughter Apple has had to deal with accusations that she’s a ‘nepo baby’ and I can understand her frustration.”
The star addressed the topic Princess and Junior face similar accusations with their budding careers, as both are follow in the showbiz footsteps of Peter and mum Katie.
“At the end of the day, whether it’s a family of actors, dentists, accountants, teachers, anything, chances are one of the kids in the family will want to follow in their parents’ footsteps because they’ve been around it all their lives,” dad-of-five Peter wrote.
He continued: “I don’t know why we single out young people in the entertainment industry for criticism. Like I’ve always said, even if someone has an opportunity offered to them, they have to work hard and be talented to succeed long term.”
His comments came after Princess was offered a two season renewal of her ITV reality series The Princess Diaries.
The young star took the spotlight in August with her own fly-on-the-wall show.
Its four episodes went down a storm with viewers as she lifted the lid on her love life, fledgling career, and her relationships with her parents, particularly dad Peter.
And in a recent Instagram video, she revealed the future of her show to her fans.
Speaking to camera, she said: “I’m so excited to tell you what I’m about to tell you.
“I want to thank everyone who gave me so much love for season one of The Princess Diaries.
“I’m here to announce that I have not only one, but two more series of The Princess Diaries coming out in 2026. I honestly can’t wait, I’m so excited.
“Loads of people have been asking me but I’ve not been able to tell you but now you finally know. See you in 2026.”
Her dad was among the first to react, writing: “So proud of you. Keep being you. We love you.”
