A MARRIED At First Sight star has revealed her new boyfriend just three months after her ex savagely dumped her by text.
Marylise Corrigan split from her boyfriend after believing she had finally found the one.
The reality star went public with her new romance in September last year, telling fans that she had ‘found happiness’ after suffering heartbreak on the main series.
However, just a year later, Marylise and her mystery man, who was not part of the reality world, have gone their separate ways – and now, she’s moved on with someone new.
The star took to social media to reveal her new man, named Ricky.
Marylise could be seen posing in a swimsuit while sipping a cocktail with her new beau, as they enjoyed a spa day.
She proudly penned: “Happy 51st birthday my handsome man Ricky!
“You came into my life unexpectedly and showed me what it means to be truly seen, supported, and understood. (They do exist!) I’m so grateful for your kindness and the calm you bring into my world. Have the BEST day being a king!”
Marylise looks happier than ever in the carousel of photos with her new man.
She can be seen sipping wine with him in the snaps by a cosy fireplace, and in another the reality star snaps a selfie in a hotel room.
Clearly treating him for his 51st, the brunette beauty snapped a photo of her hunky man holding helium balloons, and a bottle of Champagne can be seen on the table.
Fans in the comments were delighted for the pair, and rushed to share their happy birthday messages while also saying how nice it was to see Marylise happy.
Last year, a source told The Sun Online of her split: “Marilyse is really upset and can’t believe she’s ended up single again.
“She was dumped over text after falling head over heels.
“It was a whirlwind romance and in hindsight she feels she was love bombed.”
‘Lovebombing’ is a term used to describe those who try to win over someone’s affections by quickly showering them with excessive gestures – including compliments, gifts and declarations of love – in order to ‘secure’ the person’s trust and love.
In many cases, lovebombing results in an intense emotional attachment, which some use to then manipulate or control the person involved.
Marylise first shot into the public eye by participating in the sixth series of the E4 reality show in 2021.
She was matched by the experts with Franky Spencer, a former soldier and a strength and conditioning coach.
Despite ups and downs, the pair confirmed their vows in the final episode and planned to move forward together away from the programme, but split four months later after their romance “dried up” and they became “more like friends”.
