IT’S easy to get wrapped up in the latest beauty trend promising to make you look like a newborn baby.
But beauty fans are lining up to get The Ordinary’s new volufiline serum that promises to banish wrinkles, plump pouts and get rid of eye bags.
While you may have never heard of volufiline before, it’s one of the best-kept skincare ingredient secrets.
The product works by stimulating and promoting lipid storage, which leads to an increase of volume in the fatty tissue.
This means that it plumps out wrinkles and can add fat to places that naturally lose it as we age, like your under eyes and lips.
The ingredient is often used in K-Beauty, (Korean skincare), but has only just made its way to Europe.

And now The Ordinary is offering a serum with the must-have ingredient for the budget-friendly price of just £15 and beauty fans are eager to get their hands on it.
The serum will be launching on November 13, and there is a waitlist to join on The Ordinary’s site if you do want to sign up.
One beauty fanatic who has raved about the effects of volufiline for years on social media is Devon Kelley.
She claimed she experienced orbital fat loss due to a lash and brow serum that contained prostaglandin analogs.
While the ingredient does help lashes grow, it can also shrink fat tissue in areas it’s used, leaving Devon with sunken undereyes.
And now, she’s been trialling the new serum and how it’s transformed her routine.
She said: “It’s been two years since I first used Volufiline and my results for improving my hollow under eyes went viral.”
“For the past three weeks I’ve been secretly testing a new product to help build more volume under my eyes,” she explained.
“I’m really excited about it. This is a new Volufiline serum from The Ordinary that contains 92% of the exact same raw ingredient as the Volufiline that I was using two years ago.”
“I’ve been applying this under my eyes, in my temples, in my smile lines, on my lips, and whatever is left over I use on my neck to help with the tech lines.”
Devon recommended using the product on top of your moisturiser to allow it to absorb into the skin and she was clearly impressed with the results.
As you only want to use it on targeted areas, you won’t need much, so the serum will cost just 10p a go.
“I’m very happy with the results and I’m excited to see what a few more weeks will do,” she added.
The clip went viral on her TikTok account @devonkelley_ with over 535k views and 34k likes.

One person wrote: “The Ordinary has volufiline now!?? I’m so influenced.”
Another commented: “Wait stop I’ve had the same hesitation with using my volufiline! This is a much needed product I’m obsessed.”
“This is genuinely the first beauty product I’ve been excited about in years,” penned a third.
Most important skincare advice
Faye Purcell, Head of Research & Development at Q+A Skincare shared her knowledge with Fabulous.
What skincare advice would you like everyone to know/follow?
Can I give two! Firstly, wear SPF daily and secondly, double cleanse! Wearing SPF daily, even on cloudy days and during the winter months, is one of the most important things you can do for your skin.
Double cleansing is one of the most effective (and often overlooked) ways to upgrade your skincare routine – especially if you wear sunscreen, makeup, or live in a busy polluted city. I’d suggest an evening double cleanse for best results.
What is a big skincare myth?
Luxury doesn’t mean more effective. You absolutely do not need to spend a fortune on skincare to get great results and Q+A is the perfect example of this. Many affordable products use the same active ingredients as luxury brands like hyaluronic acid, retinol, vitamin C, peptides, or salicylic acid – we use these in lots of our face and body products. A smart, consistent routine with well-formulated products – regardless of price – is what truly delivers results.
If someone is new to skincare, what’s one product you’d recommend them and why?
A moisturiser with SPF. Moisturising daily is an essential for all skin types and can make a perceivable difference to the appearance of the skin quickly. As SPF is also essential, combining these two steps can build good habits quickly and prevent skin cancer. Not only is SPF essential for protecting the skin from sun damage/skin cancer but also helps keep premature ageing at bay e.g. wrinkles/pigmentation.
Q+A have three excellent facial SPF50s (£15 each) – Peptide Anti-Ageing SPF50, Niacinamide Balancing SPF50 and Squalane Hydrating SPF50, that are available from Sephora and Holland & Barrett.
What is Q+A’s number one best seller?
Our Hyaluronic Acid Facial Serum. It’s our number one best-seller one is sold every 90 seconds!
When it comes to the body, it’s the Q+A Salicylic Acid Body Wash – we sell one every two minutes.
Q+A is available from Sephora, Holland & Barrett, selected Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose stores and qandaskin.com.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “You have no idea how excited I am for this product.”
“I am SO EXCITED about this!!! The Ordinary coming through once again!” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “Excited to try this out when it’s released.”
