A MAJOR DIY retailer has launched a new service in 150 stores — and it’s perfect for last-minute shoppers who need DIY and trade essentials delivered within hours.
Partnering with last-mile delivery specialist Gophr, Wickes is promising deliveries from store to doorstep in as little as two to three hours.
The rollout is happening nationwide, giving customers across the UK access to ‘Wickes Rapid’, a fast and flexible delivery option designed for both home improvers and tradespeople on tight deadlines.
The service will be powered by Gophr’s ‘Trade’ network, which caters specifically to the construction and DIY industries, offering reliable delivery for everything from small tools to large materials.
The collaboration comes as more shoppers demand faster and more convenient ways to shop, while tradespeople look to save time on site and cut fuel costs.
By teaming up with Gophr, Wickes is aiming to meet those changing needs head-on.
Customers using Wickes Rapid can order anything from the store’s full range, with deliveries available via motorbike for smaller tools and items, or large vans for bulkier orders such as doors, timber, and flooring.
Orders can be placed seven days a week during normal store hours, giving customers flexibility to plan around their projects.
Each delivery comes with live GPS tracking, proof of delivery, and real-time notifications, making it easy to monitor progress from checkout to doorstep.
The service is also integrated with Metapack, a delivery management platform that links Wickes’ online checkout directly with Gophr’s courier network.
This ensures every order is automatically allocated to a driver and provides full visibility for both customers and store teams.
