A NOTORIOUS prankster lined up with the Australian rugby league team – before he was nicked.
Daniel Jarvis – who goes by the name ‘Jarvo 69’ online – got onto the field as the Aussie and England teams lined up for the national anthems at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday.
He was caught on TV coverage standing at the end of the line of Australia players, wearing a green and gold team shirt with ‘Jarvo 69’ on the back.
Merseyside Police said the 37-year-old from Gravesend, Kent was detained and arrested on suspicion of possession of articles for use in fraud and fraud by false representation.
He has been taken to a police station for questioning.
It is understood that the incident will form part of an RFL internal review of the event.
Australia won the match 14-4, to secure victory in the three-Test series with a game to spare.
The final Test will take place at AMT Headingley, in Leeds, next Saturday.
Self-styled ‘Greatest Prankster in the World’ Jarvo has a long history of disrupting live events.
In 2023, he sabotaged a live Match of the Day broadcast by hiding a phone that played porn noises during Gary Lineker’s show opening.
