MANCHESTER UNITED boss Ruben Amorim gushed over Elliot Anderson ahead of this afternoon’s trip to Nottingham Forest.
The resurgent Red Devils head to the City Ground looking to make it four wins on the bounce.
Ahead of the match, Amorim was very complimentary of Forest, with three of their stars in particular earning his praise.
Speaking to Aussie Premier League broadcaster Stan Sport, the Portuguese said: “The environment is going to be different, we struggle a little bit to play away.
“Every play that Nottingham do is going to create a buzz in the fans, and we need to be prepared for that.
“We need to play a different game, we need to go to the final third and try to find the right spaces.
“It’s going to be really hard. Sean Dyche is really smart and they have (Morgan) Gibbs-White with a lot of talent.
“They have (Callum Hudson) Odoi, they have a lot of players.
“(Elliot) Anderson… very, very good player. So they solutions. They have top players. They have a very good coach.”
United fans on social media were particularly excited to see this praise for Anderson – a player that the Red Devils have been linked with in recent weeks.

One wrote: “Name dropped Anderson??”
While a second claimed: “Last time he name dropped someone it was Cunha.”
And a third commented: “Did the same thing with cunha last season.”
Although another pointed out: “So we’re buying Odoi aswell?”
Amorim, 40, made similar comments about Cunha ahead of United’s 1-0 defeat to Wolves in April.
Asked about the great run the Molineux side were on at the time under Vitor Pereira, Amorim said: “I think he is doing an amazing job, he is playing 3-4-3, he is doing quite well and he is changing some players.
“He has really quality players. Cunha, all these guys, they have a real quality, they are fresh so we know that it is going to be a tough match.”
Anderson, 22, signed for Forest from boyhood club Newcastle in a £35million deal during the summer of 2024.
The midfielder has since gone on to excel at the City Ground, helping them qualify for Europe last term.
Anderson has also broken into the England set-up, so far earning four caps under Thomas Tuchel.
