Shocking moment Ukraine rescues Putin’s WAR CAMEL used by desperate Russians in failing invasion

THIS is the bizarre moment Ukrainian troops rescue a camel which was being used by a desperate Vladimir Putin in his failing war.

Footage shows the seven foot, one-tonne Bactrian camel galloping through eastern Ukraine behind a white pick-up truck full of soldiers.

The camel was found and taken in by Ukraine after they stormed a Russian position in the war-torn region.

It had been wandering around aimlessly, according to reports.

As the huge double-humped animal makes its way down the road it passes a damaged M-113 armoured personnel carrier being worked on by more troops.

This is the second time a camel has been seen during the war in Ukraine after another was photographed being ridden by a Russian soldier in February.

Bactrian camels, also known as Mongolian camels, are found across central Asia.

There are roughly 10,000 camels in southern Russia.

They have adapted to survive in severe weather conditions and due to their mass can carry heavy loads through all terrain.

For these reasons, the Russians tend to use them alongside donkeys and horses to storm Ukrainian positions.

The Russian Ministry of Defense is said to be supplying donkeys to frontline units to carry ammunition and supplies as a substitute for lost vehicles, reports United 24.

In an increasingly desperate attempt to defeat Volodymyr Zelensky’s heroic band of fighters, Russian soldiers are now being taught how to ride on horseback in huge numbers.

Viktor Sobolev, a member of Russia’s Duma defence committee, said it “is normal” to ride innocent animals into warzones.

He said: “Right now, there are significant challenges in supplying units and subunits, including assault detachments and groups, with ammunition, military-technical equipment, and even food.

“If any methods are used for delivery, including donkeys, horses, and so on, then that’s normal.

“It’s better for a donkey to be killed than for two people transporting essential supplies by vehicle to be lost.”

Russia has been forced to create a number of strange weapons across their failing invasion in order to try and push back Ukrainian troops.

One of the most bizarre was a furry turtle tank.

Back in February, Russia unveiled their barmiest tank yet – a Soviet-era BMP-1 coated in metal sheets and hair-like bristles.

A similar embarrassing tank was deployed months earlier by Putin’s men.

Russian troops were spotted rolling into battle with bizarre “turtle tanks”.

The Soviet-era T-80s were covered in steel sheds and chain fringes in a bid to survive drone and missile attacks.

The hulking vehicles, which debuted in Donetsk Oblast, became a symbol of Russia‘s reliance on ageing Cold War-era equipment.

While the thick metal plates provided some protection, they also severely limited visibility for the crew, leaving them vulnerable to Ukrainian strikes.

It comes as Putin continues to launch deadly attacks on Ukraine despite his weaponry struggles.
