Mystery as Five’s superstar support act goes missing from first show leaving fans furious

FURIOUS Five fans have been left wondering what happened to the band’s superstar support act, after they mysteriously didn’t show up to the opening night of the tour.

Fans were thrilled when band members Abz Love, J Brown, Ritchie Neville, Scott Robinson and Sean Conlon announced their big comeback at the beginning of the year – and last night they kicked off their tour.

However, there was one thing missing as the tour kicked off it’s opening night in Cardiff – the band’s highly publicised support act, Naughty Boy, was nowhere to be seen.

One furious Five fan told The Sun: “Naughty Boy was supposed to do a DJ set at 7.40pm, even Five posted the running order on their IG Stories with him on it before the show.

“There is nothing on Five or Naughty Boy’s socials explaining why he wasn’t there. Let me tell you, the crowd of millennial women weren’t happy!!”

Continuing they added: “All of Naughty Boy’s DJ equipment was set up on the stage but he just never turned up.

“It was Five’s opening night of their tour but Naughty Boy not being there just seemed shambolic.

“We had no idea what was going on and just ended up sitting on the floor in the arena with the lights on for over an hour, waiting for something to happen.

“They eventually announced over the loudspeaker that Naughty Boy wouldn’t be performing and everyone in the arena started booing.

“It wasn’t a great start for Five or their fans who have waited months for this tour.”

It was announced in March that the DJ and former I’m A Celebrity star would be part of the reunion tour.

At the time, Five said: “Buzzing to have Naughty Boy on tour with us too, five bad boys and a naughty boy, that sounds like a lot of fun. Let’s go!”

However, on the opening night of the tour, Naughty Boy was a no show.

The Sun has approached Naughty Boy’s rep for comment.

BACK ON STAGE

The iconic boyband thrilled fans in the late 90s and early noughties with hits like Keep On Movin’, Got The Feelin’ and When The Lights Go Out.

So fans couldn’t wait for them to finally get back together.

The hotly-anticipated tour kicked off last night in Cardiff, much to the delight of their die-hard fans.

An emotional J Brown told the crowd at the Utilita Arena: “Never in our wildest dreams could me and the guys have imagined we’d share a stage again.

“It really does show that, at the end of the day, love conquers everything.”

THE BIG REUNION

In 1997, Five – who were all teenagers at the time – were handpicked from 3000 hopefuls, by the same people who put the Spice Girls together.

However, after a breakdown in the group, they split in September 2001.

That’s why Five fans were thrilled when they revealed they were getting back together AND going on a huge tour.

In February, they announced they would perform 12 dates in cities including London, Newcastle, Aberdeen, Cardiff, and Birmingham with tickets going on sale today at 10am.

However, much like Oasis found on their reunion tour, fans were left disgruntled after prices soared as demand for tickets went through the roof.

As fans logged on in March to bag themselves a place on the tour they were faced with long queues and price hikes.

Meanwhile, the group previously told The Sun that they were focusing on getting back to their best for the tour.
