SOME fuming Manchester City fans are being turfed out of their usual seats to make way for a glitzy new bar.
The latest Etihad Stadium revamp involves the construction of an “enhanced bar experience” called ‘City Hall’.
The area, which will also serve as an events hub on non-match days, is due to be opened in time for the 2026/27 season.
And it will force a selection of unlucky punters to up sticks.
A City spokesperson said: “City Hall [will be] a new experience for around 500 fans on matchdays, and a hub for events on non-match days.
“This enhanced bar experience will be located at the back of Level 0.
“The introduction of City Hall means that a small number of Season Ticket Members in North Stand Level 0 may need to move seats ahead of the commencement of the 2026/27 season.”
The announcement hasn’t gone down well with everyone.
One fan called the club an “absolute disgrace”, adding: “Taking my seat off me which I’ve had since the stadium opened for this.
“You’ve been trying to kick the proper fans out for years. Football is nothing without the fans.”

Another raged: “You are an absolute bunch of jokers. I’ve been in my seat for 20 years alongside my dad and we are being shifted now just so you can create yet another money maker.
“You are just constantly disrupting your loyal fans, guys. Not good enough.”
And a third chimed in with: “I’ve only had my season ticket for 44 years. Disgusting way to treat loyal fans.
“Don’t worry about relocating, this is now my last season.”
City moved into the Etihad – then called the City of Manchester Stadium – in 2003.
And their mega-rich owners have ploughed cash into a number of renovation projects since.
A 7,000-seat addition to the South Stand was completed in 2015, while a £300million project involving another capacity boost, a new hotel and a fan park is due to be finished next year.
