A MAJOR supermarket has slashed the price of Quality Street just in time for Christmas.
As Brits are stocking up their cupboards with sweets ahead of holidays, you can nab a bargain deal.

The iconic Christmas treat makes a comeback every year around the holidays.
It’s known for its bright wrappers and delicious chocolates which many Brits grew up loving.
But although the taste has remained the same throughout the years, the price has increased significantly.
But there are still bargain deals you can bag to enjoy your favourite sweets without breaking the bank.
Asda has reduced the price of 300g Quality Street bag from £3.48 to £2.98.
The pack contains all of the famous flavours, including the Green Triangle and The Purple One.
The offering comes as part of Asda‘s rollback initiative which sees more than 4,000 products discounted.
The supermarket chain slashes up to 25 per cent off its stock during promotions.
You can snap up Quality Street chocs alongside other deals in-store or online.
Quality Street comes in a new recyclable paper wrapping this year as one of many shake-ups for the brand.
Another change that might leave fans disappointed is the number of sweets in the tub.
Although the cost remains the same – at around £7 across UK supermarkets – the tubs have fewer sweets than last year, weighing 550g instead of 600g.
The firm has also released mystery flavours, and brought back a fan-favourite flavour after 20 years.
Quality Street’s recyclable paper tub is also returning this Christmas, the brand said.
They are set to be rolled out across select Tesco stores starting from October.
The octagonal tubs are embellished with gold foil, and have a “re-close” feature which allows it to be securely closed once opened.
How to bag a bargain
SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…
Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.
Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.
Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.
Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.
Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.
When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.
Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.
Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.
And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.
