A WOMAN has shared how she is in an “parking war” with her “horrible bully” neighbour – and it’s taken over the street.

UK couple Amy and Matt shared how there are two parking spaces at the front of their houses, with a dropped curb on either side for the driveways.

Amy shared how the “war” has started with her neighbour parking too far forward in the space.

This means that two cars don’t fit in the gap, and their vehicle then blocks their driveway when parked.

In a clip on their @amyandmatt account, she shared: “Our neighbour is a horrible bully, and he’s met his match with Matt because he doesn’t stand for s*** like that.

“They always used to park it a little bit further away from the drop curb, which meant it was difficult for us to get in and out.”

ROUND THE BEND

My neighbour blocks our drive parking on the road despite having TWO spaces

On one particularly annoying day, Amy said when Matt had left to go somewhere, the neighbour had come out of the house and moved their car slightly forward.

She added: “When Matt came back, he’s like, ‘hang on a minute, like have they actually been out or what?’

“And I was like, ‘no, I don’t think so. I think they’ve just moved it forward.’

“So Matt reversed back up, and it meant that his front end was like about a meter into our drive, maybe a little bit less, but either way, made it very, very difficult for me to get out.

“Matt had probably had to move his car for me to get out, and it just meant a lot of faffing when you can fit two cars perfectly in between the driveways.”

The couple were left understandably frustrated and decided to confront their neighbour.

Amy continued: “So he knocked on the door and he said, ‘do you mind just moving that car back a little bit?’

“Obviously about to say, because it’s just making it very difficult.

“And he just said no.

“So I was thinking, ‘oh my God, what’s gonna happen?’

“Like, this is not an ideal situation. You should have said no. You should have just done it. It was a polite way of Matt saying, move your f***ing car.”

After the neighbour refused to move his car – and “with the neighbours hanging out the window listening to the saga – Matt decided to get his own back.

He then moved his car to block their neighbours driveway and said “you ain’t getting out for work tomorrow because I will quite happily sit in my house and stop you from going to work by leaving my car there.”

Amy shared: “So they had a little bit of an altercation, just a few words, but he came out and he moved the car back.”

Since the uncomfortable incident, the neighbour has never parked the car in the front – but Amy was still keen to hear how other people would have handled the situation.

Many people were quick to comment, with one saying: “you know what…. you both should get a life!!”

Another added: “Life’s too short – for goodness sake. Use this as energy to spur you on to work hard and buy a house with a bigger drive.”

And a third shared: “I think Matt did well not to punch him in the face!”
