M60 chaos as rush hour traffic stopped after crash with drivers hit by 1-hour delays

DRIVERS are facing rush hour traffic chaos following a crash on the M60 this morning.

Delays of one hour can be expected on the major motorway, as traffic has stopped at junction 27 in Stockport.

Traffic has been building up on the clockwise carriageway of the M60 for the Portwood Roundabout as two lanes were closed after the crash.

A National Highways North-West update stated: “Lane 1 (of 3) is closed on the M60 clockwise between J27 and J1 near Stockport following a collision.

Greater Manchester police are reported to be in attendance.

“Delays of 60 minutes above normal travel times, please allow extra time for your journey,” the post added.
