
POLICE have launched an urgent manhunt after a 12-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man in his 40s in a UK seaside town.
The terrifying broad daylight assault is said to have taken place on Monday, October 13, on a busy street in Hartlepool, Durham.
Cops said the man made suggestive comments to the schoolgirl before attempting to touch her arm and chest.
Cleveland Police described the man as a white male, aged 30-40 years old, with buzz cut blonde hair and clean shaven.
He was wearing a camouflage-style coat at the time of the alleged sexual assault.
He reportedly escaped the scene on foot, fleeing towards the Winterbottom Avenue area of Hartlepoool.
Cops are now desperately appealing for information that could lead to the suspects arrest.
They are asking for anyone who was driving in the area who may have captured dashcam footage of the harrowing incident to get in touch immediately.
