Shortly after ditching life in the UK and moving to Portugal, mum-of-two Lisa found herself desperate to give her little darlings their own room.

But with two youngsters and just one bedroom, the content creator had to think of a clever way to utilise the space.

Thankfully, Lisa was able to use a KALLAX Cube Storage Unit, which you can buy from IKEA, to separate the big room into two smaller ones.

There’s a variety of different sized KALLAX units available on the IKEA website.

While some are only £25, there are much bigger options for £150.

Posting on social media, Lisa gave her followers a close-up look inside the converted room, as she said: “We’ve separated the room with KALLAX – it seems to have been the best option.”

After showing off her son Harry’s “little room,” which has a single bed, as well as space for his games, books and clothes, Lisa then turned to the second room.

The mother then went through the “secret door” to her daughter Holly’s room, as she explained: “They’ve both still got light, which was the main thing I was stressing about.”

Thrilled with the split bedroom, the expat added: “It just gives them that bit of separation at night and my ears some peace from the arguing.”

As well as a “bit of privacy,” the IKEA units also give the youngsters “space to themselves.”

Not only this, but Lisa also beamed: “It is just so nice now knowing that they both got their own little spaces and it looks so much better than I would have imagined.

“To be honest, I was really worried about how we were going to separate it, but I think for now, this is perfect.”
