Though Molly-Mae, 26, insists she wants Tommy to celebrate his huge milestone with friends, she can’t escape their past issues – particularly Tommy’s struggles with alcohol.

Speaking to camera in episode three of Behind It All series two, she says she’s haunted by the “ghost of the past”.

Viewers are allowed into a phone call between the couple and it quickly takes a negative turn.

“It’s just frustrating,” says Molly. “You know things are going to rile me up, Tommy. You think I don’t know you after six years?

MUM-SHAMED

“What are you talking about? I’ll speak to you another time.”

Opening up about her fears, Molly-Mae says: “I don’t want to be a bore. I want him to be able to do his thing, but there are still things that make me anxious, and that’s not his fault. I think it’s more so me dealing with it.”

Even though they’re now in a much better place, Molly admits “there are still things that trigger me so badly.”

She says: “I hear the word alcohol and I’m so tense. I’m shaking.

“I care so much about Tommy, our relationship, that when that’s not on form or there’s an issue, it’s all consuming for me.”

Molly reveals her anxiety has caused panic attacks and sickness, and she had to go on beta-blockers to get it under control.

Walking along the beach, she says: “I’m trying to navigate it the best I can and have kind of accepted it’s part of the journey.”

Fortunately, Bambi is on hand to put a smile on her face, standing at the window with a sign saying “help!” upon Molly’s return to the chalet.

Alcohol played a major part in Tommy and Molly’s split last summer.

Tommy, 25, spoke about his lowest points in an interview with Men’s Health – revealing he feared his drinking would see him end up in a ditch.

He said: “The turnaround point was in December I thought ‘I can’t do this anymore, I cannot do it’.

“I was like ‘something needs to change’ or else I’m going to end up in a ditch because that was the way I was going.

“I often said that to my brother most night and my mates, they all know that.”

Tommy continued: “I can’t remember how many countless nights I had in like my living room or their living room just crying for no reason, like I get that drunk I just start crying and talk about other stuff and it’s just like, you can’t go on like that.

“So at the end of the day this year what’s different is me. That whole approach to life.

“Last year was awful, you know, and I want to get rid of that. This year is about being thoughtful, it’s about being kind, it’s about being the right partner, it’s about being a good partner, it’s about being there more.”

The couple have been working hard to rebuild their relationship ever since they were filmed kissing at a New Year’s party.
