FOR the first time in this sorry saga Prince Andrew has finally done the honorable thing.
The royal formerly known as the Duke of York has fallen on his sword after he was caught lying over his contact with Jeffrey Epstein.
Revelations that lied in his Newsnight interview rocked the palace and appears to have been the final of final straws.
Andy’s shock decision is the only choice the scandal-hit brother of the King had left after he risked having it all taken away.
He is at least able to walk away under his own terms.
And he is able to say that he is no longer embarrassing the Royal Family, the King, the United Kingdom of himself.
His actions do not absolve himself from previous scandals.
But if the Duke has any eye on living a full and happy retirement he can at least look at himself in the mirror.
His ex-wife Sarah Ferguson has always stood by her husband.
She continues to do that losing her Duchess of York title she kept despite their divorce.
