Man, 40, charged with killing pensioner after woman’s body discovered at home MONTHS after dying

A MAN has been charged with killing a pensioner after a 75-year-old woman’s body was tragically discovered in a home.

Pepita Sakirecili, also known as Pepita Garcia, was found dead by officers after they forced their way into her property in Tottenham, north London, on January 13.

A postmortem revealed her cause of death was blunt force trauma.

Dominic Whitton, 40, of Reynardson Road, Tottenham, was charged with murder and manslaughter in connection with Pepita’s death.

Whitton was previously charged with preventing a lawful burial in connection with the investigation.

Whitton attended Wood Green Crown Court on Monday.

The 40-year-old entered a not guilty plea to all charges and will next appear at Wood Green Crown Court on Friday, 12 December.
