TELLY’S Victor Meldrew would not believe it but his terraced house from One Foot In The Grave has sold for £337,500.
The setting for the 1990s BBC comedy about an old grump, played by Richard Wilson, was used throughout the series.
Classic scenes included the garden being covered in 263 garden gnomes and a Citroen car being dumped in a skip Victor had left on the drive.
But estate agent Ben Jenkins, who sold the three-bed house in Walkford, Dorset, found it did little to boost interest and it remained on the market for five months.
He said: “Being the house from the TV series was quite a thing back in the day… but now not so much.
“But it does give it a funny little slant.”
A description of the property said: “A well presented, terraced house of about 920sqft offered for sale with vacant possession and a sunny back garden.
“The property has been well maintained with a modern kitchen/dining room leading to a UPVC conservatory extension and has a garage on a nearby block.
“Conveniently situated in the Highcliffe schools catchment area and close to the local shops and fields at Hinton, these houses have always been popular with younger buyers/families and investors.
“This particular house has been rented successfully for a number of years and is ready to move into straight away.”
It last sold in 2015 for £249,950 and was rented out by previous owners.
