LAST year when Bella Freud released her debut collection for M&S it really was a fashion frenzy.
Shoppers really did rush into the store on launch day to grab her designs.
So as her second collection launches today it seems highly likely that the same will occur.
The designer whose pieces usually retail for hundreds of pounds has partnered with the high street brand to offer a more affordable range.
For this second collaboration it’s all about entertaining at home, Bella says: “You want to be a bit dressed up and feel glamorous, but you also want to feel at ease.”
Featuring a modern colour palette of mainly neutral tones with some pops of colour including hot pink.
And the jumpers that were bestsellers in the first collaboration are back, this time with new words.
Plus it’s not just womenswear that Bella has designed for this range, it also includes matching family PJ’s as well as a capsule homeware edit.
With prices starting from as little as £10 and 100% cashmere jumpers retailing for £130 as opposed to £365 which you will find in Bella’s main range.
Here, Fashion Editor Abby McHale takes a look at some of the top pieces to get yourself from the collection now.
Jumper – £130
Known for her cashmere jumpers Bella’s ‘1970’ jumper has been a hit with celebs and shoppers for years.
For M&S she has designed a range of slogan knits including this ‘Wham bam’ cashmere jumper for £130.
Made of 100 per cent cashmere you can guarantee ultimate softness, plus the on trend burgundy and pink colour combo is perfect for this time of year.
This is a piece that is sure to be flying off the shelves.
Jeans – £55
A pair of black wide leg jeans should be a staple in everyone’s wardrobes.
Not only do they go with so many things, dressed up or down, but they look great on all shapes.
This pair from the range retails for £55 and with Bella not currently offering denim in her main range on her own website, this is an exciting exclusive for M&S.
Blouse – £120
Now this blouse comes with a price tag of £120, however it is 100 per cent silk.
Not only is it once again a classic silhouette that will last you for years to come, it’s a great piece that can make you feel dressed up without going too OTT.
Plus if you’re lusting after Claudia Winkleman’s Traitors wardrobe, then this is definitely a piece you should be adding straight to basket.
Pyjamas – £50
If you fancy some posh pj’s just in time for Christmas then this new collection has just that.
These blue and red trim pyjamas are not only super cute, but they also come in a kids version too if you want to match.
Not only do these look like you’d get a great nights sleep in them, but they’re also too stylish to not wear around the house also.
Makeup bag – £18
The collection not only features womenswear but some accessories and homeware as well.
This makeup bag is just £18, perfect for storing all your cosmetics, or something that would make for a great Christmas present.
The pop of red sure makes a statement, along with the ‘beautiful’ slogan, it’s a nod to Bella’s slogan designs in a makeup bag form, great if you want something from the range but don’t want to spend too much money.
Cushion – £45
With the introduction into homeware for this collection, you can now buy the likes of this cushion.
For £45 the white cushion with red lining has the slogan ‘starry starry nights’ written in the top corner.
Plus you can get other homeware including candles and diffusers with the same slogan depending on what takes your fancy.
