KEVIN Federline has claimed he caught Britney Spears cheating on him with a female backup dancer – but he refused to be in a throuple.
Britney’s former husband Kevin, 47, opened up about a night out with the Pop Princess, 43, while she was on her Onxy Hotel Tour in 2004.
Kevin’s book, You Thought You Knew, which is due to be released on October 21, is expected to contain many shocking revelations about their relationship and life raising their sons, Sean Preston, now 20, and Jayden James, 19.
Kevin wrote in an excerpt published by USA Today: “It was one of those loose, carefree evenings where everyone was dancing, drinking and just having a good time.
“We stayed out late, hitting one of the city’s nightclubs until at least 1 or 2 in the morning.”
Kevin alleged that after the group, which included Teresa Espinosa, returned to the hotel, Britney told him she’d be right back.
However, she didn’t return and Kevin explained he started to feel suspicious but thought maybe she was catching up with someone or handling something to do with the tour.
He then claimed he went to look for: “As I passed one of the rooms, I glanced inside — and froze. There she was.
“Theresa was sitting on the edge of the bed. Britney stood between her legs, hands on her face and they were f***ing going at it.
“Full-on making out.”
Kevin goes on to explain he stayed silent as the two women looked up and saw him.
Then he walked back to his room and packed his bags.
He revealed: “I just wanted out.”
The memoir alleges that Britney returned and appeared unaware of what Kevin had witnessed.
He wrote: “She started apologizing, explaining, promising it would never happen again.
“She told me she didn’t realize how serious I was about us, that she was overwhelmed and it had been a mistake.”
Kevin added that he made it clear he “wasn’t interested in a relationship that involved more than two people,” but decided to stay with Britney.
He said: “Those weeks in Europe, navigating that emotional minefield together, laid the foundation of our relationship.
“They tested us, changed us and ultimately brought us closer together.
“It was during this time that I began to realize the depth of my feelings.
“And while the road ahead was anything but certain, I knew one thing for sure: I was falling in love with Britney.”
Kevin and Britney got married on September 18, 2004, just five months after they met but they split in 2006.
In an interview with The New York Times, Kevin revealed he’s kept his distance from his ex-wife and they “haven’t spoken in years,” following their divorce nearly two decades ago.
However, in the book, the DJ also revealed some of Britney’s alarming behavior, which he learned mainly from their kids.
“They would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep — ‘Oh, you’re awake?’ — with a knife in her hand,” Kevin wrote.
“Then she’d turn around and pad off without explanation.”
In a statement provided to Us Weekly, Britney’s representative said, ‘Once again [Federline] and others are profiting off her, and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin.
‘All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism,’ they added.
