CRISTIANO RONALDO stayed true to his word by giving Dominik Szoboszlai his Portugal shirt.
CR7 disappointed Szoboszlai when Portugal played Hungary in September as he had already given his jersey away.
After that match, which Portugal won 3-2, Ronaldo assured him: “I’ll give you my home shirt, for sure. In Portugal, okay?”
The return fixture was played in Lisbon on Tuesday and it was another entertaining affair.
Ronaldo bagged a brace and Liverpool star Szoboszlai netted a 91st-minute equaliser in a 2-2 draw.
The late goal denied Portugal the chance to qualify for next year’s World Cup on the spot.
Despite the setback, the chaotic game and the busy life Ronaldo leads in Saudi Arabia, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner remembered his prior commitment.
And Szoboszlai confirmed the shirt swap to Hungarian media after the game.
Hungary’s precious point put them in a healthier position to make the World Cup qualifying play-offs.
They now sit second in Group F, one point ahead of Ireland and five behind runaway leaders Portugal.

Szoboszlai said: “I’m proud of this whole team. We fought all the way through the game.
“We started well. There was a slight dip in our game but then we got ourselves together.
“I can only say positive things.”
It was a disappointing night for Portugal but Ronaldo picked up yet another individual accolade.
The Al-Nassr forward, 40, has now bagged a ridiculous 143 international goals.
The two he scored on Tuesday took his tally to 41 in World Cup qualifying, which moves him clear of the previous record holder, Carlos Ruiz of Guatemala.
