BRITNEY Spears’s ex Kevin Federline has made jaw-dropping claims about the singer’s alleged erratic behavior around their two sons in his new memoir.
The former professional dancer opened up about his struggles co-parenting with Britney, 43, throughout her downward spiral from Pop Princess to troubled artist.
Kevin’s book, You Thought You Knew, which will be released on October 21, is expected to make many shocking revelations about his relationship with the Toxic singer and life raising their sons, Sean Preston, now 20, and Jayden James, 19.
In an interview with The New York Times, Kevin, 47, revealed he’s kept his distance from his ex-wife and they “haven’t spoken in years,” following their divorce nearly two decades ago.
However, in the book, the DJ revealed some of Britney’s alarming behavior, which he learned mainly from their kids.
The outlet noted that one chapter highlighted the then-teenagers’ reluctance to return to their mother’s home after a frightening encounter with the Drive Me Crazy hitmaker.

“They would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep — ‘Oh, you’re awake?’ — with a knife in her hand,” Kevin wrote.
“Then she’d turn around and pad off without explanation.”
Kevin then expressed his concern for Britney and predicted it was only a matter of time before something worse happened involving the performer.
“It’s become impossible to pretend everything’s OK,” the actor admitted.
“From where I sit, the clock is ticking, and we’re getting close to the 11th hour. Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces.”
While Britney has repeatedly slammed her ex-husband over their traumatizing years-long custody war, Kevin maintained in his sit-down with The Times that he was “never against” the Grammy Award winner.
“I’ve only tried to help my sons have an incredible relationship with their mother,” Kevin insisted. “And it’s hard because when I really reflect on everything that’s happened — my kids do not know the woman that I married. And I’ve spent two decades trying to bridge that gap.”

Meanwhile, Britney’s team hit back at Kevin over his allegations in his memoir, accusing him of trying to “profit off of her.”
A representative for Britney shared a statement with People on Tuesday, which read, “With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin.
“All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir [The Woman in Me],” they concluded.
Britney released her memoir in October 2023, which detailed the turmoil in her life, including her tumultuous relationships with her family and the tabloids, and her struggles navigating post-guardianship life after ending her 13-year conservatorship in November 2021.
In August 2024, it was revealed that the Slave 4 U singer’s memoir is being adapted into a film, to be directed by Wicked’s Jon M. Chu.

Fans have outwardly supported Britney and even started a “Free Britney” movement, which helped end her over-decade-long conservatorship.
However, ever since, questions have repeatedly arisen about Britney’s mental health after her many eyebrow-raising social media posts – the latest showing the pop star dancing with massive bruises on her body.
She also claimed that she had a “broken” leg, as a white bandage was seen wrapped around her knee.
Shortly before, fans were happy to see Britney reunited with her sons as they celebrated their cousin Maddie’s senior night.
Maddie is Britney’s sister, Jamie Lynn Spears’ oldest daughter.
It was a rare group sighting, including Sean and Jayden, who moved to Hawaii with their father, his wife, Victoria Prince, and their two half-sisters in 2023.
