Stefan Dennis‘s future on Strictly Come Dancing has been revealed after he was forced to miss Movie Week due to illness.
BBC bosses announced last Friday how the Neighbours actor, 66, would not appear in the ballroom on medical grounds.
They said in a statement: ‘Due to illness over the past few days, Stefan Dennis has been advised to rest and, as a result, he will not dance this weekend.
‘In line with the rules of Strictly, Stefan and Dianne will receive a bye through to next week when they will hopefully be able to dance again.’
During Monday’s It Takes Two, host Fleur East confirmed Stefan has now returned to training ahead of Icons Week.
She told viewers: ‘As we know, Stefan Dennis was unfortunately unable to take part in Movie Week due to illness and received a bye.

Fans then saw Stefan and his professional partner Dianne Buswell in the training room beaming and looking healthy.
Stefan said in the clip: ‘Hi everyone, just want to say thank you very much for all your support and well wishes while I was away last week.
‘We’re back in the training room, aren’t we, and if all goes well – which it will – I’m going to be back on the floor with the lovely Dianne this Saturday.’
Stefan added they’re both rehearsing to perform a Charleston as he joked he can ‘finally get to use my basketball hands’.
The Australian actor’s wife Gail revealed her husband’s secret health emergency from exactly a year ago as she sent her support amid illness.
Posting to Instagram on Friday night, Gail informed their followers that it had been a year since Stefan had suffered another health scare.
She wrote over a sweet black-and-white photo of the couple: ‘Get well soon, darling. Wish I was there to pamper you.’

Alongside the post, she penned: ‘A year ago, almost to the day, I got a frantic call from @neighbours, saying that Stefan was being rushed to emergency.
‘Then this week … a frantic call came again.
‘Thankfully he will be ok but I know he will be so sad and extremely disappointed that he can’t perform this week on @strictly.. but believe me these two moments have been the only things that have kept him from going to work! He is such a super trouper.
‘So please rest up darling, your body is shouting at you again. Make sure you listen!’
She didn’t explain what the details of the ’emergency’ last year was.

The professional dancer, 36, announced she is expecting her first child with partner Joe Sugg last month, making her the first star to ever compete in the show while pregnant.
She penned: ‘Just to clarify as I have had lots of people msg me thinking this is a cover up for me being not able to dance!?
‘Firstly we wouldn’t lie especially about somebody being sick! And secondly I am fine, yes I am pregnant but I’m also very capable and feeling really good!’
She also explained that their are protocols in place regarding the professionals’ sickness as she added: ‘Thirdly there are things in place if any pro were to get sick or injured’.
