POLICE have blown up a mysterious package at the same university system where Charlie Kirk was killed.
Students inside the Old Main Building at Utah State University in Logan, Utah, were instructed to leave “immediately” just hours before a scheduled Turning Point event.
It’s the first time Turning Point has returned to the university since the conservative commentator was tragically shot at the nearby campus in Orem.
The alert ordered anyone in the Old Main building to “leave immediately”.
It read: “An evacuation has been ordered for the Old Main building on Logan campus. Leave immediately using the nearest exit.
“Use stairs, not elevators. Take only essential items. Go to your department’s evacuation area if applicable.
“Follow instructions from emergency personnel. Updates will follow.”
University spokesperson Amanda DeRito said cops were called following reports of a “suspicious package”.
The parcel was found in the basement of the Taggard Student Center and promptly blown up by a specialist crew.
Witnesses said they heard an officer yell “Fire in the hole!” – before a loud bang went off.
The Turning Point event was moved to another room where further security measures were put in place.
The parcel was later confirmed as legitimate.
