TEMPLEGATE’S Wednesday tips are below.
Back a horse by clicking their odds.
SAILOR BATT (2.55 Musselburgh, nap)
The Barron-trained youngster has been knocking on the door and almost got off the mark on handicap debut at Redcar last week. He was always up with the pace there over six furlongs and shapes as though this longer trip will be ideal. The handicapper has left his mark alone and he can get off the mark.
KEPPEL QUEEN (3.50 Warwick, nb)
She comes from the top team of trainer Olly Murphy and champion jockey Sean Bowen who takes over in the saddle today. She got back to something like her best form when second at Worcester last time and has more to come on this stable debut. Today’s trip is fine.
SMASHER (8.30 Kempton, treble)
Saves his best for this trip and track. He went down in a tight finish at Chelmsford 13 days ago and is 3lb below his last win.
DARK ANGEL STAR (2.33 Catterick, Lucky 15)
Relished dropping back to this trip when breaking her duck at Newcastle latest. She is capable of following up from her opening handicap mark of 74.
