A MARRIED At First Sight bride takes her husband to task at the first Commitment Ceremony after being left sobbing on the floor at the group dinner party.
The beauty – who fans reckon is at the heart of a huge cast feud – calls out her man directly as the E4 season hits another milestone episode, The Sun can exclusively reveal.
Married At First Sight bride Julia Ruth has had a rocky ride with musician husband Divarni, with the blushing bride initially refusing to even fall asleep in the same room as her husband after finding out about his promiscuous past.
Previous scenes on the series also showed the bride kicking her groom out of their suite after an explosive clash during their Honeymoon.
Meanwhile, fans have already begged Julia Ruth to “run away” from her spouse – after he performed a song to her to try to smooth things over.
Now she has highlighted further cracks in their partnership, with The Sun exclusively revealing a clip ahead of tonight’s episode.
Sitting on the sofa alongside her, Divarni told her their Honeymoon had been “proper difficult” but ultimately opted to stay on the show for another week.
MAFS expert Paul Carrick Brunson then threw the chat open to julia, who said: “Erm for me it’s tricky.
“The vibes on the wedding day were unreal, I just haven’t seen you let your hair loose or have a fun light hearted conversation.
“Or just have giggles with me and create fun memories.
“I don’t need everything to be picked apart and to be deep.”
It remains to be seen if Julia Ruth opts to stay in the matchmaking experiment.
Yet the current rules of the show state that if one person opts to stay, the couple must continue on to the next week.
OFF SCREEN
Previously reckoned “something happened” off-screen after the pair appeared to “switch in behaviour” following tense scenes.
They reckon drama struck in between the wedding ceremony – where they had an initial attraction – to the Honeymoon, where things turn sour.
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
Viewers took to social media to share their theories – saying “it doesn’t make sense” and we must have “missed something”.
One wrote: “Something has happened between Julia-Ruth and Divarni that we haven’t seen because that switch in behaviour?”
A second posted: “I think something is off with Julia-Ruth, I can’t put my finger on it.”
After calling out Juli Ruth at the centre of a cast feud – for seeming to be unhappy at better-matched couples – emotions came to the fore as she started to sob during the dinner party itself.
At the table, she started to cry as she told her man: “You are very negative.”
Seconds later she was seen crouching on the floor in floods of tears saying: “I just wanted someone genuine.”
MAFS UK is available for viewing on E4.
