One fan pointed out online: ‘We have recently been watching The Waltons on MeTV. We found out Gilmore Girls was filmed on the same lot as The Waltons. The Dragonfly Inn from GG was The Waltons house. The town GG is set in is the same set town as The Waltons. Same gazebo, town square, store fronts etc. There are several talkative style characters that look EXACTLY like they should be on GG. They talk and act just like GG people do. We both noticed that. Was wondering if Amy Sherman Palladino ever mentioned if she was a fan of The Waltons growing up because it really seems like there are a lot of influences from The Waltons on Gilmore Girls not just the common sets.’
‘Yeah, the GG set is on the Warner lot. It’s been used for many productions over its long history.’
