Shocking moment footballer kicks rival in privates then is immediately sent off

FOOTBALLER Nicusor Bancu was sent off last night for kicking an opponent in the privates.

But rival player Daniel Armstrong incredibly wasn’t red carded despite starting the incident by stamping on Bancu.

The clash happened during last night’s Romanian top flight contest between Bancu’s Universitatea Craiova and Armstrong’s Dinamo Bucaresti.

Universitatea lost Bancu while leading 2-1 on 65 minutes.

The left wing-back clashed with Armstrong after the pair had battled for a loose ball.

With the ball having squirmed away, both players found themselves on the turf.

As Armstrong got up, he appeared to stamp on Bancu’s chest.

In retaliation, the Romanian international seemingly booted Armstrong in his nether regions.

The former Wolves youngster, 27, subsequently writhed around in pain.

Amazingly, following a VAR check, Bancu was correctly red carded – but Armstrong survived without even a yellow.

Local commentators were left stunned by the decision.

Calling the game for Romanian telly, Ionut Angheluta said: “Bancu’s gesture is also ugly. Either you send them both off, or you give them both yellow cards.

“It seems absurd to me to send only Bancu off. I don’t understand how Armstrong’s gesture is overlooked.”

Angheluta’s colleague Andrei Tivilichi added: “He knew where his foot was all along, he wanted to do this, it’s nothing accidental.”

Dinamo had initially taken the lead on 16 minutes via Alexandru Musi, only to be pegged back moments later by Samuel Teles.

Shortly after half-time, Universitatea took the lead through Juraj Badelj.

Following Bancu’s red card, the home side looked to hold on to their precious lead.

But in the 90th minute, Alexandru Pop popped up with an equaliser to see the spoils shared 2-2.
