Troubling new footage shows Trump would-be assassin Thomas Crooks wielding a firearm in his bedroom

The man who shot and attempted to kill President Trump last summer was seen in haunting footage practicing his aim with a firearm in his bedroom.

Candace Owens revealed never-before-seen videos on her podcast that she claimed had been taken from Thomas Crooks’ since erased internet history.

The would-be assassin allegedly posted the cell phone footage online prior to his July 2024 attempt on Trump’s rally at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

In the videos, Crooks, 20, showcased a handgun laying on his quilt and then set up his camera to record himself pretending to shoot the unloaded gun at an imaginary target.

He took a marksman’s stance before taking his aim in his white room, which was bare aside from a red Marvel poster decorating the walls.

In a second video, Crooks appeared to wield the gun in front of what looked to be a sheet of target paper hanging on his wall.

He took the same stance as he methodically aimed and shot his empty firearm.

The videos were undated, per the New York Post

Owens also revealed more details about Crooks’ internet history, claiming that he had allegedly left violent comments under political YouTube videos.

In one comment from 2019, he allegedly wrote: ‘I always believed being patriotic was lining up a bunch of socialist jews (like the ones that booed Trump) and blasting their useless brains out with an AR.’

His account had also commented in 2019: ‘Everyone of the Trump hating democrats deserve to have their heads chopped off and put on stakes for the world to see what happens when you f*** with America.’

Before his attempt on Trump’s life, Crooks made harrowing internet searches about mass casualties, how to build explosives, and school shooters.

He even looked up ‘How far away was Oswald from Kennedy?’ one week before the Pennsylvania shooting.

He also reportedly looked up pornography on his encrypted Samsung phone before he attempted to kill the then presidential candidate.

In a list of his alleged internet searches which Owens shared, Crooks also looked up Molotov cocktails, fertilizer bombs, and best places for a mass shooting.

Owens said: ‘His online history shows he was extraordinarily violent.’

Crooks was a registered Republican and, according to the FBI, began using aliases to purchase firearms online in 2023.

He was an engineering student and amateur gunman from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania where he attended Trump’s campaign rally.

After weeks of erratic behavior, he told his parents he was headed to the gun range, a hobby that he had recently picked up.

Instead, he mounted a roof and shot the then Republican presidential candidate at a rally from just 400 feet away. The bullet scraped Trump’s ear and killed one attendee in the crowd behind him.

He was located by Secret Service and killed on the scene.
