With award winning TV shows to shoot, beauty empires to run and hit singles to produce for the world’s biggest artists, it has been almost impossible to allocate time for wedding planning.
But who needs to worry about that when you have a cool combined net worth of over $1 billion?
Such is the life of Selena Gomez and her fiancé Benny Blanco, who will say ‘I do’ this weekend in a top-secret ceremony in California‘s ritzy enclave of Montecito.
It is understood that the smitten pair, who got engaged in December last year, enlisted the services of party planner to the stars Mindy Weiss to actualise their dream day.
Gomez, 33, and Blanco, 37, will tie the knot on a large private property that will be tented and protected by hefty security at a cost of a reported $300,000 to ensure the safety and privacy of the 300-strong guest list – of whom many are A-listers, naturally.
The celeb hotspot – in Santa Barbara County – is home to the likes of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, and is just a few hours’ drive from Beverly Hills, where Gomez and Blanco share a $35million Spanish-style estate.

Most guests who are staying over on Saturday night will reportedly be housed at the El Encanto luxury spa resort. Owned by Tinder co-founder Justin Mateen and nestled in the Santa Barbara coastal hillside, rooms cost upward of $1000-per-night and there is no availability for this weekend.
The cost is mere pennies for some of those expected to attend. Heiress Paris Hilton is on the couple’s guest list, according to her sister Nicky Hitlon, as well as Gomez’s best friend Taylor Swift.
But the pop megastar, 35, who is in the early stages of planning her own nuptials after boyfriend Travis Kelce popped the question in August, will reportedly be flying solo.
‘Taylor is planning to attend but she’ll probably be going solo as Travis has a game in Kansas the next day,’ our insider said: ‘That’s all still under discussion.’
The insider also claimed Meryl Streep, 76, was initially ‘planning to attend but told Selena she now won’t be able to.’ It is unclear why.
Streep’s rumoured love interest Martin Short – who stars alongside Gomez in crime drama ‘Only Murders in the Building’ – will be there to celebrate, as well as their co-star Steve Martin.
The actress and Rare Beauty founder has previously joked: ‘Marty’s the ring bearer.’
Guests will be entertained by Snoop Dogg who will play host at the afterparty. The legendary rap artist, 53, previously worked with Blanco and BTS on 2022 chart flop, Bad Decisions.

Gomez and Blanco first met a decade ago when they collaborated on the 2015 hit Same Old Love. Four years later they teamed up once again for the 2019 single I Can’t Get Enough.
Fast forward another four years and their friendship had developed into a romance, with the pair confirming they were official in December 2023 after six months of dating in secret.
With no doubts that they had both found ‘the one,’ Blanco popped the question a year later with a massive diamond engagement ring worth an estimated $1 million. Gomez was quick to show off her new sparkler on Instagram and told fans: ‘Forever starts now.’
Gomez most famously endured a tumultuous time with fellow singer Justin Bieber, with a years-long on-off relationship. Justin, 31, is now married to model Hailey Bieber – who he was linked to during a brief break from Gomez in 2016. They are parents to one-year-old son Jacks.

Proceedings have been overseen by celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss, who has most famously mastermind various Kardashian celebrations.
No stranger to signing NDA’s and keeping tight-lipped, Weiss is the ‘only person outside of Selena and Benny who knows the exact location’ for their nuptials, our insider said.
‘Even caterers won’t be told until Saturday,’ said our insider. ‘They will be preparing food elsewhere then bring it in last minute. All other deliveries will be on the same schedule as the caterers.’
