Awkward moment MAFS UK bride kicks groom OUT of bedroom on disastrous honeymoon

MARRIED At First Sight couple Julia-Ruth and Divarni appear to have done a 180 after their fairytale wedding.

The couple instantly hit it off after meeting for the first time on their wedding day, with Divarni saying his new bride took his “breathe away”, while Julia-Ruth admitted she had a big “crush” on her man.

But in an exclusive clip for tonight’s show, cracks seem to appear less than 24 hours into their honeymoon.

The pair seemed to clash on their different approaches, with Divarni being more serious and Julia-Ruth appearing more carefree.

During a date along the beach, Divarni told his new wife: “I came into this experiment to find my person, have someone that I can, as well as having fun, offload to and someone that ultimately understands me.”

Divarni explained: “It wasn’t intentional to put you in that situation where it was like ‘damn, I’m trying to be Mr Negative’.

“It was something that hit me in the moment and I was just pouring out the feelings.”

Julia-Ruth interjected: “But the way you say things is just like a tornado of negativity.

“It’s hard to want to be intimate and grow and develop something when everything is so intense and so deep.

“The last thing I want to do is have a talk about traumas and then get into bed with you.”

Divarni looked hurt by the comment, which was worsened when Julia-Ruth suggested they sleep in separate bedrooms.

“Maybe just for tonight we do separate rooms, just to be clear and then tomorrow we can regroup and start afresh and a clean slate,” she told him.

Shock moment MAFS bride screams at groom on boozy honeymoon

In last night’s preview clip, Divarni appeared to take it badly and was seen breaking down in tears after the conversation.

They’re not the only couple who have encountered problems so early on.

On last night’s preview Maeve, 29, was seen screaming at personal trainer husband Joe, 31, while on their honeymoon.

They are shown sat at a bar, with Maeve telling her new husband: “You’re really p*****g me off.”

Joe asked why, as Maeve stood up and stormed off, continuing to vent.

On their wedding day in previous scenes, Joe appeared hesitant after meeting Maeve.

Putting his partying days behind him, Joe declared that he wasn’t sure he could handle Maeve’s free spirit.

When they got to the aisle, Maeve was completely blown away by her new husband when they met for the first time.

Feeling overwhelmed and nervous, she joked that she wanted to go straight for the kiss on Married At First Sight.

In his confessional Joe said the comment felt “weird” as his concerns continued to grow over her “lively” personality.

After this moment, droves of viewers took to social media as they thought that there was definitely trouble in paradise.

Taking to X, one wrote: “Dunno why I get the vibe either joe or Maeve are gonna be the couple who has an affair this year.”

Anither stated: “Did he just say it was weird for her to say about the kiss?? Didn’t he say he b***** half his clients?

“How is a “first kiss” weird? Joe is gonna p*** me off I can tell.”

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
