SCHOOLKIDS have been rescued from flood waters in Italy as torrential rainfall hit towns in the country’s north.

People were trapped in cars and houses as rivers burst on Sunday and Monday.

Two cars stuck in brown floodwaters in Meda, Italy, due to the overflowing Taro River.
