Bride Erica Roberts, who was married to Jordan Gayle on the show, has been revealing show’s secrets.

The reality star, who was embroiled in several feuds and confrontations during her time on the show, was asked by a fan on TikTok: “How much are you compensated per show or is it a daily fee?”

Erica then replied: “So we don’t actually get paid for being on the show, but they do give us our loss of earnings.

“So say for example, I actually think it’s capped. If you earn like three grand a month, I think that’s what the cap was.

“If you earn three grand a month, you get three grand a month back.

“Like they will compensate you for that. If you earn anything more than three grand a month, they don’t cover it.”

Continuing she said: “They would also give us like £120, I think it was a week, which was for food.

“Because obviously when you’re living in the apartment, we were basically living just like a normal life.”

Erica also slammed the “stingy” show for only allowing her to have 12 guests at her wedding to Jordan.

She then revealed how furious she was that her friends and family also had to find their own way to her wedding.

CONTROVERSIAL BRIDE

During her time on MAFS two years ago, Erica had several fallouts with the other couples.

She then made a surprise appearance at the 2024 series reunion – where it was revealed she’d enjoyed a secret fling with Kieran Chapman, much to the surprise of his show bride Kristina Goodsell.

Following the awkward scenes, Erica also ended up in an online spat with Sacha Jones.

Erica was accused of also hooking up with Sacha’s show husband Ross McCarthy, with Sacha later insisting her rival was creating drama “for the fame”.

Sacha told The Sun: “Some of Erica’s friends have been commenting on my posts saying, ‘you know the industry’. I’ve blocked them.

“That gave me the impression that she’s been doing what she’s doing to draw attention. This reality TV career is obviously something she really, really, wants.”

NEW LOVE

Earlier tis year, Erica teased that she had found love a year after splitting from her show groom Jordan.

The former couple called time on their relationship in February last year.

In May, she took to Instagram to share snaps from a recent romantic trip to Brussels with her new man – but kept his face hidden in the photos.

One showed them posing for a selfie, with Erica’s mystery man putting his arm around her, while another saw them laughing in a sweet photo both snap.

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
