A FOUR-bedroom cottage that seemed like the perfect countryside escape has stunned house hunters after something very strange showed up in one of the listing photos.
The £785k rural cottage dates back to the 17th century and is billed as having ‘great charm’.
But eagle-eyed viewers spotted a bizarre detail, a pair of bare feet appearing in one of the pictures.
The cosy home features traditional wooden beams, spacious rooms and a large garden, making it a dream for anyone seeking a slice of country life.
Photos show a huge country kitchen, pretty fireplaces and a light-filled lounge, giving the property a picture-postcard feel.
But the accidental appearance of the mystery feet quickly became the main talking point.
One amused social media user said the odd snap was “the real selling point”, while another admitted they “couldn’t unsee it” after noticing the photobomb.
Some suggested the listing agent had accidentally stepped into frame, while others joked it was a clever ploy to grab attention.
Despite the unexpected extra, the cottage is attracting plenty of attention thanks to its period character and charm.
This follows another home that left buyers flabbergasted: the three-bedroom property in Brislington, Bristol, looked pleasant and welcoming — but one disgusting feature was simply too much to bear.
The open-plan utility room seemed perfectly normal at first glance.
But look a little closer and you’d spot the surprising addition that had viewers squirming.
A toilet had been plonked right in the middle of the space, alongside the washing machine, fridge-freezer, sink and even a coffee machine.
Despite food and drink being stored in the same room, there was nothing to separate the loo from the kitchen set-up.
The unusual arrangement was described as a “utility/downstairs WC” in the listing.
Pictures of the property were quickly shared online where users were left “flabbergasted” and joking about the bizarre setup.
