A MOTHER-OF-THE-BRIDE has been slammed after showing off dress options for her daughter’s big day.
Candice, a mum from the United States, explained that her daughter is set to say ‘I Do’ in just a few weeks time, but she is still undecided on what to wear.
Desperate for advice, the content creator took to social media, where she showed off her options.
Alongside her video, Candice wrote: “My daughter is getting married next month. Help me choose my dress!!”
As well as being the mother-of-the-bride, Candice acknowledged that she has a very important duty on her daughter’s big day.
She explained: “I will be walking her down the aisle, so the idea is for us to be ‘opposites’.”

Candice confirmed that her daughter’s wedding has the theme of black and rose gold.
While the bride will be wearing a rose gold dress with black detailing, Candice shared four frock options, all of which were also maxi length.
The first one, a black off-the-shoulder dress, was covered in subtle sparkles.
Following this, Candice modelled a second frock, a strappy black dress with a sparkly silver design.
The third dress was quite similar, with a lower, plunge neckline.
Meanwhile, the fourth and final dress was black with an eye-catching rose gold sparkle.
Huge divide
But Candice’s TikTok clip, which she posted under the username @candysass77, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and racked up 2.3 million views, 123,500 likes and 28,200 comments.
Social media users were left totally divided by the dresses – while some thought they looked “great,” others advised Candice to go for something less “attention-seeking” and more “age-appropriate.”
One person said: “I’m a bridal stylist! I think you’ve picked some great options! 2 is my fave. Love the art deco motif.”
Neither one, they all look like a hot mess

Another added: “2 and 3 were my favs, you look stunning in them.”
A third commented: “I LOVE number 3 on you! It highlights your curves but doesn’t take away from her dress.”
However, at the same time, one user advised: “Continue shopping, these will draw away from her.”
Wedding Guest Outfit Etiquette
If you’re struggling to decided on a dress to see you through wedding season, here’s a few rules on what not to wear so you don’t get in trouble.
- Folklore says that wearing red at a wedding means you slept with the groom.
- Casual attire like jeans and flip flops should always be avoided.
- Any colour that could be picked up as white or cream – even if it’s not.
- Most would agree that your cleavage needs to be covered.
- Wearing white is a massive no-no if you’re not the bride.
A second recommended: “Noooo something more modest perhaps.”
Someone else penned: “Too sparkly, shiny, flashy. You need plain black – less shine.”
While one user wrote: “Neither one, they all look like a hot mess. Us bigger chested girls need more support.”
Not only this, but another stressed: “You need something more mature.”
