Kate Garraway was left red-faced after making a major garden blunder and getting blocked from entering her house.
The broadcaster, 58, took to Instagram on Friday to reveal she had been keen to do some garden reconstruction, and said she ordered two tonnes of hardcore for the job.
But Kate soon realised she had accidentally ordered 12 tonnes, all of which arrived unbagged and was dumped in a huge pile in her driveway.
In a video filmed by her neighbour, musician Sency Miller, Kate could be seen arriving home from work and finding the mammoth pile of hardcore – which meant she couldn’t reach her front door.
‘Ok so this is less than ideal!’ Kate captioned the clip. ‘Needed some hardcore for a small bit of #garden reconstruction – was advised about 2 tonnes – clicked on TWELVE tonnes!!!!
‘#shouldhavegonetospecsavers #mypoorneighbours @sencymiller. #eyesbiggerthanmystomach !!?!! #lovemygarden.’

Arriving home, Kate could be heard telling Sency: ‘I thought it was going to a be a lot less.’
‘How you gonna get in?’ he asked her. ‘That’s the question you need to ask’
Kate then asked Sency, who had been there when the suppliers dropped off the hardcore: ‘Why didn’t they send it in bags? Are you sure this is 2 tonnes?’
‘It’s twelve tonnes, it’s not 2 tonnes,’ Sency replied, before a shocked Kate gasped: ‘TWELVE?! Oh god that’s my mistake. I think I clicked on the wrong thing.’
She added: ‘I need to figure out how am I actually going to get in.
‘I’m amazed you don’t just say “Well it’s your problem, deal with it”. Seriously how do I get in? I’m not even joking anymore.’
Kate then threw her bags over the fence before climbing over the hardcore, with Sency helping her over to access her front door.
The garden disaster came after she dropped her daughter Darcey Draper back off at university after summer.

She took to Instagram on Sunday to share that she had spent the day in her car driving her daughter, 19, back to uni.
Darcey, who Kate shares with her late husband Derek Draper, started university last summer and this week headed back to kick off her second year.
Kate gushed over how ‘proud’ she is of Darcey as she opened up about the ‘big change’.
‘Another car picnic in the Vicky Volvo,’ she said. ‘This one much more happy and jolly and positive because I’ve got a very happy daughter duly delivered to uni.
‘I’ve now got a very empty car, I can’t believe we got all the suitcases and everything in to be honest into Vicky Volvo, but we did it which is great.
‘And now I’m just taking a moment for a hot brew before we head off, or I head off. It’s a big one isn’t it?
‘Because you’re so proud of them, you know it’s what they want, everyone seemed fantastic where she was. But it’s also a big change and a big moment.’

Kate then asked Sency, who had been there when the suppliers dropped off the hardcore: ‘Why didn’t they send it in bags? Are you sure this is 2 tonnes?’

‘I’m amazed you don’t just say “Well it’s your problem, deal with it”. Seriously how do I get in? I’m not even joking anymore’
She continued: ‘Good luck to anyone, parents and students, who have been delivering youngsters on their new paths this weekend.
‘Good luck to anyone starting something new this week, new jobs, new challenges. Let’s make it a fantastic week.’
Sharing the video, Kate captioned the clip: ‘One daughter duly delivered to Uni. Know lots of parents and students doing the same this weekend.
‘Good luck to anyone starting a new chapter this week – let’s make it a good one! Happy Sunday everyone.xx #freshstarts #unilife @volvocars @volvocaruk.’
