Widespread problems among Google users have been reported, cutting people off from their email and the internet.
According to Downdetector, the major outage broke out around 10:30am ET on Thursday, with thousands of Google and Gmail users saying they were unable to log into their various accounts.
Google, Gmail, Google Workspace, Google Cloud, and Google Drive have all been affected by the outage.
Major cities like New York, Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco have been the hardest hit areas at the moment.
Among Gmail users, the biggest issue has been connecting to the server, meaning they are unable to send or receive emails, access their inboxes, or use Gmail-linked services for scheduling events, managing contacts, or joining video calls.
Google Cloud users have experienced the same issues with logging into their accounts.
The cloud is a set of online tools and services provided by Google that helps businesses, developers, and individuals store data, run apps, and perform tasks over the internet instead of on their own computers or servers.
‘Google login servers are nuked for my school right now,’ one person revealed.
