BOOKIES have been left ‘stunned’ after a punter’s ‘extraordinary’ 8p each-way Lucky 63 bet returned a life-changing sum.
Poor William Hill were left counting the cost after the massive midweek multiple paid out £30,000 – despite one leg losing.
The outrageous punt took in six selections in all with a total stake of £10.08.
The punter banged in five winners across Redcar, Yarmouth and Wolverhampton, including 20-1 and 18-1 pokes.
The sole loser was Spectre One’s defeat at Uttoxter on Tuesday at 12-1 odds.
Just Typical got the punt off and running at odds of 18-1 at Redcar before Mademoiselle obliged at Yarmouth.
Three straight winners at Wolverhampton came in courtesy of Ghisa, Ten Carat Harry and Advertorial at odds of 20s, 11-1 (25p Rule 4) and 11-2 respectively.
The bet included a ten per cent concession for five winners.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “We’ve been hit by a few mega multiples recently and it looks like we’ve lost another battle with the punters here.
“One customer has managed to cop nearly £30,000 from five winning selections in an 8p each-way Lucky 63, which is fantastic work.
“It’s not every day that you can turn a relatively small stake into a punchy five-figure sum.
“So we simply must take our hats off to this punter.”
