A WOMAN has revealed that she and her partner moved out of London and relocated in a commuter town.
Now, the content creator, who posts online under the username ‘The Millennial Escape,’ owns a house with a garden for the same price as renting a tiny flat in Zone 3.
Posting on social media, the young woman got candid on the pros and cons of “escaping the city grind for country vibes.”
The influencer, who left London and now lives in Berkshire, explained: “We own a house and a garden for the same price as renting a s****y flat in Zone 3.”
As well as being able to “decorate exactly how she wants,” now the woman and her partner “have enough space to host BBQs and sleepovers.”
But that’s not all, as living in Berkshire means this woman has “amazing countryside on her doorstep.”

In addition to stunning views, a lot of her friends have now moved to the same area.
Even better, it’s also “much quicker to drive to family.”
But things haven’t all been rosy since leaving the capital.
Following this, the woman got candid on the negatives of living in a commuter town, with transport being the main issue.
She explained: “The cost of travel into London is much higher, and this seems to be increasing multiple times a year.”
Now facing an hour commute, she continued: “It’s also longer and if something goes wrong there’s less transport options.”
As well as having to “plan your last train home,” living in Berkshire has also impacted her social life.
She recognised: “Our social events with London friends now occur more on weekdays vs the weekend.”
Social media users react
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @themillennialescape, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as at the time of writing, it had quickly racked up 159,800 views, 5,389 likes and 154 comments.
And it appears this woman isn’t the only one frustrated by travel costs, as others living in commuter towns raced to the comments to share their similar anger.
