This comes after the Yellow Submarine signed one of the North Londoners’ players on loan during the summer transfer window.

And he could face his parent club after Villarreal boss Marcelino added him to his List A squad for the League Phase.

That is none other than Manor Solomon, who joined the Spanish giants on deadline day.

Solomon, 26, has yet to play for the LaLiga outfit but could make his debut at the stadium of the team that loaned him out.

Unlike the Premier League, Uefa competitions allow loanees to face their parent club.

That is as long as the loan agreement doesn’t include a clause preventing the player from competing against his other team.

Solomon joined Tottenham in 2023 from Shakhtar Donetsk shortly after a loan stint with Premier League foes Fulham, which took place after Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine.

However, a devastating meniscus injury sidelined the Israel international for the entirety of the 2023-24 campaign.

Ever since getting hurt, the forward never managed to add to his grand total of six appearances across all competitions with Tottenham – which saw him registering two assists.

Solomon was then loaned out to Leeds in 2024 and regained his fitness as he stood out in the Championship last season.
