TERENCE CRAWFORD might clear out the middleweight division now – instead of retiring at the very top.
The 37-year-old boxing genius totally dominated Canelo Alvarez on Saturday night – to become undisputed champion at a THIRD weight.
The Nebraska master cleaned out the super-lightweight and welterweight divisions, before dazzling Mexico’s former pound-for-pound don.
And now he has his eyes on total domination of the 11st 6lb middleweight division, where he can cherrypick his opponents, as the new face of the sport.
After winning the Las Vegas showdown on all three of the judges’ scorecards, the undefeated 42-0 super-champ said: “My gut says I will sit down with my team and maybe I will go down to 160lb.
“There will be excuses from some people, but that’s what happens when you are great and so far ahead of the competition.
A lot of fans don’t respect fighters but we put our lives on the line.
“I won the championship rounds, when he was the champion, I knew I had to close out the show.
“I can’t get a better ending than that tonight, this is the top of the top.
“Canelo was the last one, there are no more Canelo’s. Now I am the Canelo, the face of boxing, the pound-for-pound king. So now we have to see.”
The middleweight division is an historic one but it’s out of fashion right now.

But Crawford explained after his backfoot-boxing clinic that he likes boxing at a bigger weight, striking fear into those belt holders.
He explained: “I feel great, anybody can be a nobody.
“People doubted me and said i can’t sell and have no personality, they wrote me off for years but it all was shown tonight.
