UK’s biggest Christmas event to return with 150 rides and attractions… and new FREE Santa’s grotto

THE UK’S largest winter event is returning to the capital with several new additions.

It’s nearly that time of year where Winter Wonderland reappears in Hyde Park and for 2025 there are several new additions as tickets go on sale today.

New for this year visitors will be able to explore a revamped Santa Land with a new free Santa’s Grotto experience, which will be the largest of its kind in London.

The Santa Grotto experience will include a journey through a new interactive Elves Workshop and there will be a number of special visits from Mrs. Claus.

And after you can head to the world’s first street food market just for kids at Jingle Bell Bistro.

Over at the brand new Luminarie Lane, visitors will be able to explore a giant light installation which has been designed and built in Italy specifically for the event.

Under the canopy of lights is where visitors will find all the hand-craft gifts usually seen at Winter Wonderland, as well as the Market Square with cosy stalls and themed bars.

This year the Magical Ice Kingdom will get a brand new theme too – ‘A Mystical, Mythical Fantasy World’.

Visitors will be able to adventure through the Four Realms of Earth, Fire, Air and Water, all made from 500tonnes of snow and ice by sculptures from the UK and Belgium

The Magical Ice Kingdom is kept at -10C and is one of Europe‘s largest ice attractions – so make sure to wrap up warm.

There will be giant trolls, a five-metre-high Griffin and lots of photo opportunities in the Kingdom as well.

Over in the Bavarian Village, there will be live music, traditional German food and mild wine.

This area will also get a new Après-Ski themed village, with festive-themed drinks, bratwursts and live DJ sets.

At Bar Ice, which is made entirely of ice, guests can enjoy a number of themed cocktails as well.

In total, there will be over 150 rides and attractions at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland 2025.

Many favourites will make a return too, such as the UK’s largest open-air ice rink and the 70-metre giant wheel.

There will also be a real ice slide, a new Zippos Christmas Circus with acrobats, trapeze performers and funny characters, Cirque Berserk’s “most thrilling exclusive show yet” called ‘Ignite’ and lots of gift and food sellers.

Tickets are available today, including the Five Peaks Pass which allows visitors fast track access to the five biggest rides at Winter Wonderland.

Several new ticket packages are being introduced this year too.

The packages will include offers and discounts, free event entry, fast track upgrades and 10 per cent complimentary credit.

For example, The Arctic Adventure pass will include access to the ice rink, the Magical Ice Kingdom and the Real Ice Slide.

Then The Festive Favourites package will include a ride on the Great Wheel, cocktails in Bar Ice and access to the ice rink.

The Show Town Spectacular package will include access to the fairground and either a Zippos Christmas Circus or Cirque Berserk: Ignite show.

Finally, The Taste of Bavaria package is perfect for adults wanting some good food and booze, as it included credit to enjoy in the Bavarian Village.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland will run from November 14 to January 1, 2026.

Ticket prices vary depending on the time entered and if a package is booked.

For example, tickets are free when entering Winter Wonderland off-peak, however this rises to at least £5 for standard entry and from £7.50 for peak entry.
