A WOMAN has found herself brutally mum-shamed after giving her four-year-old daughter a full set of acrylic nails.

Her daughter looked thrilled with her new nails, as Jess said in the clip that she’ll be turning five in a month, and has been asking her to do her nails “forever”.

“Considering next week is her first official day of school I decided to let her get her nails done,” she said.

“MY daughter, MY rules,” Jess added in the caption.

“Do with your kids as YOU please!”

And, as she’d predicted, the comments section on the clip was immediately filled with people taking aim at Jess over the decision.

“That is so bad for her natural nails, coming from a nail tech herself,” one wrote.

“Doing her nails at a young age is dangerous,” another insisted.

“Just why?” a third questioned.

“Absolutely not!!!!!” someone else raged.

“This cannot be the new generation of parents,” another sighed.

“Absolutely NOT,” someone else commented.

“I was a young mum I had my son at 18, while all OTHER crazy young moms where doing crazy things LIKE THIS!

“A young mum immaturity is just SIMPLE STUPIDITY.”

“Kids have nothing to look forward to anymore,” another admitted.

“Have you ever smashed your finger or caught your nail on something with an acrylic on?” someone else asked.

“I’m sorry but I do this often enough as a conscious adult… that poor baby could rip her nail bed off so easily and it’s so so avoidable… by letting her BE A CHILD.”

What age can you take kid to get their nails done?

MUMS have sparked controversy after allowing their kids to get acrylic nails. But just how old do they have to be to be allowed to get them done legally.

According to the National Occupational Standards, anyone under the age of 16 has to be accompanied by an adult.

They also need written consent from a parents or guardian.

It’s also a good idea to check that the salon you’re planning to go to – just to ask if they offer services to children.

“This is not good for her at all,” another agreed.

“How do you not think about the issues that this can bring for her?”

However, others defended Jess, and insisted they’d be taking their daughters for manicures ASAP.

“Y’all need to calm down from a certified baddie with acrylics at 7 years old. I turned out just fine,” one wrote.

“My daughter is 10 months and I already want to take her to get her toes done,” another laughed.

“When your mum is a nail tech, I really don’t see nothing wrong with it once in a while,” someone else said.

“Like a little treat!”

“I need to learn how to do nails, I have 2 daughters,” another said.

“I was around the same age when my my mum let me get my first set of short acrylic nails,” someone else commented.

“Literally nothing wrong with it!”

“So cute! I’m about to wake my daughter up and do hers,” another laughed.

“Period!! She’s going to have bomb nails for life!!” someone else laughed.
