Watch the moment Vogue Williams takes a savage swipe at Molly-Mae’s NTA win live on Lorraine

MOLLY-MAE Hague was subject to a catty swipe from fellow reality TV star Vogue Williams after picking up her first National Television Award last night.

The influencer, 26, fought back tears as she collected her gong for her Amazon Prime series Molly-Mae: Behind It All, in the category for best authored documentary.

Other stars in the running for Molly-Mae‘s gong included Amy DowdenBoyzone, the late Rob Burrow, and Freddie Flintoff.

She was incredibly overjoyed and overwhelmed by the win, stepping onto the stage mouthing “oh my God!” to give an emotional acceptance speech.

Yet while giving an NTA de-brief on ITV daytime show Lorraine on Thursday, Irish model Vogue, 39, appeared less than impressed.

Host Lorraine Kelly suggested there was “another controversy” as Molly triumphed other “extraordinary” TV shows.

Vogue then replied: “I think – well, first of all, I’m going to plan a break up because then I’m going to win an NTA myself,” before bursting out laughing.

She added: “Yeah there were quite a few shocked faces in the room because she was up against Rob Burrows, Freddie Flintoff, Amy Dowden, incredible documentaries.

“I think there were a few shocked faces in the audience but she did pay tribute to Rob Burrows in her acceptance speech.”

Molly-Mae dedicated her award to former rugby player Rob, who passed away last year at 41 from motor neurone disease.

In her emotional speech, the influencer also said: “Oh my goodness. Honestly, just to be nominated for this award was such an honour.

“I think as you guys saw, we were up against some seriously inspirational people in this category.”

She went on to thank her producers, friends and family for their support in the making of her series while her pal Maura Higgins watched with eyes filled by admiration.

“This team has been the reason why this experience has been so incredible for me, and I think with nights like tonight it’s not just about the talent.

“It’s about the people that make shows like these. I’ve learned so much, I feel like I could start my own production company at this point.

“And thank you to my own family who didn’t choose this life [of stardom] but came on the show for me because they knew how much it meant to me.

“You’re the best support system I could ask for.”

She wrapped up the speech by sending love home to her family.

“To Tommy and Bambi at home, I love you both so much.”

Molly-Mae and Tommy, also 26, met during filming for the fifth season of Love Island back in 2019.

Both of them were contestants on the show, and the pair ended up remaining together after the programme ended.

Despite breaking up briefly in August of last year, Molly-Mae confirmed the duo got back together in her documentary.

MAE DAY

Shortly prior to picking up her coveted telly award fashion brand founder Molly-Mae suffered a slight wardrobe malfunction.

Her left shoe fell from her foot as she stepped on stage.

Yet ever the pro, the reality TV show brushed it off and went on to accept her gong.

The Sun also spoke exclusively to the Maebe fashion brand founder as she hit the Red Carpet ahead of picking up her gong.

Radiating excitement, she said of the atmosphere: “I’m good, just soaking it all up. It’s wild.”

When asked how her two-year-old daughter Bambi was doing, Molly-Mae told The Sun: “Well, she’s not so much a baby anymore, she’s a toddler now, but she’s at home with her dad tonight.

“I think they may be watching from the TV.”

Molly-Mae chatted about her show as well as Tommy’s BBC documentary Tommy: The Good, The Bad, The Fury.

“And how do you feel about Tommy and his new show?,” the TV personality was asked. “Are you proud of him?”.

“Yeah, so proud of him,” Molly-Mae gushed.

“I think he did an amazing job. They [the team] produced something really amazing and we both support each other. We’re all really proud.”
