Diags. 34. graced our screens for nearly a decade and a half, but despite his glamorous job on the ITV2 show, he still works a very normal job outside of his TV fame.

Die-hard TOWIE fans will have seen the reality star working at his dad’s plumbing company, Plumb Point, with his castmates filming scenes with him at the establishment in Essex.

Now Diags, who previously hinted at a proposal to girlfriend Jodie, has revealed how much he really earns in a new video on TikTok.

While being interviewed by Money Unfiltered, Diags was asked what he does for work, to which he replied: “I work on TV and I do plumbing and heating and bathrooms.”

When asked how much he makes on TOWIE, he revealed: “Maybe 100 grand a year,” before being asked: “What has your career path been like to get there?”

He responded: “My best pal, Joey Essex got me on the show and then it started from there, I used to book them PA’s.

“I used to do his PA work, so I used to ring clubs and book his jobs so he could go to clubs and then I got in trouble with it so I couldn’t do it anymore because agents don’t like that and then he went, ‘Come on the show’.”

Opening up about financial regrets, Diags urged: “Mate spend it, if you get it, enjoy it. You’re only here for a short time so enjoy yourself, don’t worry about it. It’s only money, it comes and goes.”

The television personality went on to reveal that he’s not a “sensible” person when it comes to money and spends it all as soon as he gets it.

He shot to fame on the long-running reality series in 2012 after joining the cast as Joey Essex’s best pal for the fourth series.

In the earlier series, Diags was often a shoulder to cry on for Joey, 35, but as the show progressed, he became a much-loved cast member in his own right.

As well as his romances with Fran Parman and Elma Pazar over the years, fans also love his bromance with best friend Dan Edgar.

During the last few series, viewers have seen Diags evolve, thanks to his relationship with girlfriend Jodie Wells and being a stepdad to her son Bear.

It was revealed in January that the pair had split up, after previously sparking rumours when they unfollowed one another on Instagram over Christmas last year.

However, just three months later, they announced they were back together in April.
