A GIRL who was injured in the Southport attack has labelled evil Axel Rudakubana a “coward” — as the first phase of the public inquiry into the horror resumes today.

The teen was stabbed three times in her arm and her back when Rudakubana, then 17, burst into a Taylor Swift dance workshop last year.

The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also revealed she has struggled to return to school.

Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, Alice Da Silva Aguiar, nine, and Bebe King, six, died in the attack.

The survivor said of Rudakubana: “Since he went after children, he’s been a coward.

“That’s all he is in my eyes. At school, no one really knows what to say.

“It was like gossip, everyone was talking about it.”

Her mum said: “It’s hard because she isn’t as happy as she used to be.

“We’re trying to get that happiness back, but you do have that survivor’s guilt.”

The girl has launched foundation Go Anywhere, Be Anything to help introduce first aid training into the school curriculum.

Rudakubana was given life in jail with a minimum 52 years.

The public inquiry’s first phase resumes at Liverpool Town Hall today.

The solicitor for the bereaved families, Christopher Walker, said: “They hope the inquiry leaves no stone unturned in establishing the facts around what led to this day.”
