A WOMAN has shared the shop that’s even better than charity shops to get bargains.
Pipi, from Wales, took to social media to share her money-saving trick, and people were stunned they had never heard of it before.
In the clip, she revealed she was heading to a tip shop, and while some might turn their nose up at it, for Pipi, it was a little bit of heaven on earth.
She added: “What’s the tip shop? Some people would probably say it’s a shop full of junk. I would personally say it’s a little piece of heaven on earth.
“There are quite a lot of tip shops in the South Wales area and this one is the one in Port Talbot, in my opinion, is pretty good.”
Showing shoppers around, the shop was filled to the brim with stuff.
That included homeware items, clothes, toys, and furniture.
“Some items are individually priced and others are not but tip shops generally tend to be really cheap and in some cases even cheaper than charity shops,” Pipi continued.
She found a set of seating which included two armchairs and a sofa for just £120 and there was even the option to pay extra to get it delivered to your door.
She also found a huge mountain of cuddly toys that were on sale which otherwise would have ended up in landfills.
The best part is that many local councils have a tip shop across the UK, so it’s worth googling where your nearest one is.
Often, the tip shops are owned by local authorities and money goes back to them to help run local services.
The clip was posted on her TikTok account @life_of_pipi and went viral with 31k views.
People were quick to take to the comments, thanking Pipi for the tip.
One person wrote: “Why have I not heard of this?! Literally like 15 mins from me.”
Another commented: “Oo looks like some real good bargains in there!”
“That looks amazing! Last time we went to the tip we ended up picking up hundreds of pounds of Lego’s for my son for £25! Including storage. Could not believe our luck!” penned a third.
