A MURDER investigation has been launched after a 25-year-old woman fell from a block of flats.
The tragedy unfolded at a block of flats on Cuckmere Lane, Southampton, on Thursday.
Officers from Hampshire Police raced to respond after receiving a call from the ambulance service.
It followed reports that a woman had plunged from a block of flats on the road.
A 25-year-old woman, suffering significant injuries, was located on the scene.
The woman was raced to hospital where medics battled to save her life.
She was sadly pronounced dead on Friday, her family are being supported by specialist officers in the wake of the tragedy.
Cops have now launched a murder probe into the incident.
A spokesperson from Hampshire police said: “Officers are pursuing lines of enquiry to identify a man within the property at the time of the incident.
“Officers remain at the address today as enquires continue and will be conducting patrols in the area.
