TWO Spice Girls are set to reunite for their first musical performance in six years for a brand new TV show.
The exciting music series will debut on the streaming platform – Apple TV tomorrow (August 29).
KPOPPED will showcase iconic Western artists as they reimagine their chart-topping tracks in the style of South Korean pop songs.
In the series, celebrities will be matched with Korean acts and sent off to rehearse for a huge performance which is then judged by a Seoul-based audience.
The Sun revealed at the start of the year that Emma Bunton and Mel B secretly flew to Seoul in November to take part in the reality show.
The official description states: “This energetic music series, starring PSY and Megan Thee Stallion, features surprising collaborations.
“And behind-the-scenes moments of connection from iconic Western artists and top K-pop idols while they create genre-blending covers of their biggest hits.”
But the exciting part for Spice Girls fans is that although PSY and Megan Thee Stallion are billed as the programme’s headliners.
The new series also features icons Mel B and Emma Bunton who have been teamed up with Korean girl group Itzy, in episode two.
The duo will reimagine their hit singles ‘Wannabe’ and ‘Say You’ll Be There’ reports the Mirror.
And viewers will also be to witness behind-the-scenes footage of the Spice Girls as they prepare for their ultimate battle.
KPOPPED will also feature pop princess Kylie Minogue, R&B star Patti Labelle and rapper Vanilla Ice.
Other musicians taking the stage include Kesha, Eve, J Balvin, TLC, Boy George, Jess Glynne, Ava Max, and Boyz II Men.
BILLIE, Itzy, KEP1ER, JO1, Ateez, STAYC, Kiss of Life, and Blackswan are all on the line-up for the K-Pop Groups.
Fans have already taken to social media to express their excitement about the new show.
One fan commented on the trailer: “IT’S SOOOO INSANE to see Boys to Men, Kylie, Megan and Spice Girls, legends that have directly inspire K-pop be finally put together in a show with live K-pop performers!”
Another viewer said: “The show hasn’t even come out yet, but I already think it deserves another season.”
