With origins in the 19th century, the drink is now sold in over 200 countries and territories worldwide.

1.8 billion beverages are served every single day and the company has been valued as the world’s sixth most valuable brand by Interbrand’s study in 2023.

One user took to the Facebook group, Newfoodsuk, as they spotted a brand new flavour in Home Bargains.

It seems that orange vanilla flavoured cans of Orange Cream Coca-Cola are now on sale and it has caused a stir with consumers.

The post contains two pictures of the orange coloured cans alongside the caption: “Orange Cream Coca-Cola spotted at Home Bargains!”

However, shoppers don’t like the look of the new flavour as they flooded the comments section.

One user fumed: “Just leave things alone.”

A second stated: “They just taste like Vanilla Coke.”

“Oh ffs if you want that flavour get Fanta and vanilla ice cream. In N.America you can buy an orange creamsicle. I would never look for that flavour in coke,” noted someone else.

While another person claimed: “It’s not that great sorry to tell y’all’s”

And a fifth added: “These flavours are always a disappointment.”

Selling Costa

This comes as the Coca-Cola company is said to be looking to offload Costa Coffee.

After acquiring the business more than six years ago, the major fizzy drinks brand is said to have hired investment bank Lazard to oversee the deal.

According to a report in Sky News, offers are said to be due in autumn.

Tough times

Coca-Cola bought the iconic chain from Premier Inn owner Whitbread in a huge £3.9billion deal back in 2018.

Analysts have said the chain may now only sell for only around £2billion.

Amid a tough consumer environment, which includes rising inflation and loss of jobs, the high street staple has faced financial pressures.

All Costa Coffee chains remain open and trading as normal and The Sun has contacted Coca-Cola and Lazard for comment when first reported.

It comes as Costa has made a string of closures over the past few months.
